Halle’s Wedding
Sareh Nouri at Neiman Marcus Bridal
We had a celebration! Many of you know that Hal and Jordan are high school sweethearts and after rushing into an eleven year dating spree decided to get married. The extremely cold weather was not going to dampen our mood but I will admit every time I checked the phone and it said sleet, snow, and rain I was panicking a little, ok a lot. Their rehearsal dinner was at Rosarios and we had mariachis to get us in the party mood! Wedding weekend we all stayed downtown at the St, Anthony hotel. Hair and makeup started at 8:00am. The boys played dominoes and had a couple of beers. The stark distictinsion from the rooms was comical. The wedding was at the San Fernando Cathedral which is the oldest standing church in Texas. Fun fact James Bowie and Jordan Garcia were both married here. Our school priest, Very Reverend Carlos B Velazquez, married them as he is the Rector at the Cathedral now. The groomsmen were very fascinated by Davie Crockett being buried there. After a gorgeous ceremony we had cocktail hour and an amazing dinner, reception and dancing at the Witte Museum. It was spectacular and most of us never left the dance floor! We had a surprise visitor with the San Antonio Spurs Coyote and a second line of horns escorted them dancing out to start their new life.
Viva Garcias!
